These illustrations were made for a revised version of PRAY’s God & Me program, a curriculum teaching grades 2-3 about their relationship with the Christian god. The program guides the students through lessons and related activities. One of my main goals was to depict diversity, especially of race and ability, to make sure all students would feel represented. Another aim was balancing the activities’ difficulties, like the animal search and maze, so they wouldn’t be trivially easy or too difficult. The final consideration was making the style more cartoony and child-friendly compared to the previous flat vector style. NOTE: Since working on this project I have left the church.
